Each print is made on 100% cotton watercolor paper with archival ink. Do you have specific requests about the paper or ink color used for your print? Include those details in your email and I'll let you know if I can accommodate them.
Prints are unframed, unless specifically listed as framed in the shop. In which case photos of the framed print hanging will be shown.
About the Printmaking Process
Ash makes prints with the solar etching method using a traditional printing press. It involves creating the image (either a photograph or drawing), exposing the image to a steel plate coated with a layer sensitive to UV light, etching the exposed image to the plate permanently with water, and transferring the image by pulling the plate and paper through an etching press.
The key components to the process are sunlight, water, ink, paper, and pressure.
